About Riverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited

Riverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited (RIAML) was created in 2020 in order to facilitate Riverside Underwriting Limited's post-Brexit strategy. From Malta we service our EU clients and customers providing the same great service as we do from the UK and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

We pride ourselves on facilitating a "local and personal" experience to all our customers designing and distributing insurance products on a global scale. We are proudly independent, 100% owned by Riverside International Holdings Limited, a UK domiciled company, majority owned by our founder Andrew Lawrence.

Communication is key, and we value the importance of two-way communication. We appreciate that our customers lead busy lives and that they may have differing preferences of how they communicate with us. We have therefore developed a platform of different communication channels to be used by our customers to accommodate those needs, these include; telephone, email, and live chat. Whichever method a customer may choose, they will find that our staff are ready to go the extra mile to assist.

Our Collective History

• April 2007 - Questor Insurance was established by Andrew Lawrence
• July 2007 - Authorised by the United Kingdom Financial Services Authority
• 4th August 2007 - We sold our first car hire insurance policy
• July 2014 - Our in-house Claims Team was established
• January 2015 - We sold our millionth car hire insurance policy
• October 2016 - We became a Coverholder at Lloyd’s of London
• November 2017 - Moved to our new HQ in Maidstone in Kent
• April 2018 - Riverside International Holdings Limited was established and the individual business owned by Andrew were consolidated
• March 2020 - Appointed Mr David Kent as Group Managing Director

Riverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited

• July 2018 - We started the process of obtaining permission from MFSA
• January 2020 - Appointed Mr George Said as General Manager
• April 2020 - Letter of Authorisation issued by MFSA
• January 2021 - Launched www.riversidemalta.com.mt and became fully operational
• February 2021 - Agency Agreeement signed with Fortegra Europe Insurance Company SE
